In 2026, Lee's Summit West High School opened a new outdoor learning pavilion and ecological research site to help with its environmental science classes. The school's performing arts department won a lot of awards at a recent regional theater festival. This showed off the students' technical and performance skills. The district has also begun new projects to make the campus safer and better so that all students can learn in a modern and effective way.
