About Washtenaw Technical Middle College

Washtenaw Technical Middle College is a public charter high school in Ann Arbor, Michigan for students in grades 9–12. With about 790 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 36:1, the school is in line with its college-style teaching. Washtenaw Technical Middle College is all about core academics and career and technical education. It also lets students take classes in both high school and college at the same time and learn by doing through middle college pathways that connect high school and college work. The students come from many different backgrounds, which makes the classroom a friendly place to learn. Academic indicators show good results: 57% of students are good at math and 87% are good at reading. This means that the students are good at reading and learning by doing. Students have to take state-mandated tests, and they can also take tests like the SAT to get ready for college as part of their graduation plans. The amount of money each student gets is the same as what public charter schools get to help with technical programs and teaching materials.
