Magnet Schools of America recently named Baton Rouge Magnet High School Principal Nanette McCann the 2026 Region V Principal of the Year, honoring her leadership throughout a seven-state area. The school also earned a place on the 2025 AP School Honor Roll for successfully expanding access to college-level coursework and supporting high student achievement on Advanced Placement exams.
