The library media center at Shawnee Mission North High School has recently been updated. It now has modernized collaborative workstations and more digital resources for students to use for research. The school has also started a new Career and Technical Education (CTE) program that aims to offer industry-standard certifications in trades that are in high demand. The NJROTC program also continues its tradition of great leadership. It recently won a distinguished unit award for its service projects and competitive performance.
