In January 2026, students from Northrop High School went to nearby colleges for special workshops to learn about careers in fields that are in high demand, such as health sciences and advanced manufacturing. The Higher Education Coalition is a new group of seven local colleges that helps seniors apply to college and get money to pay for it. This is another way that the school has been able to get more students into the classroom. Students who are in specialized design pathways are also learning by doing things outside of school to get ideas for their final projects.
