The school has about 1,200 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 17:1, which allows for personalized instruction. East Allen University is known as one of the best schools in the area. It offers Advanced Placement (AP) classes and tests, with about 14% of students taking them. It also has career and technical education and college-preparatory programs. East Allen University is working even more closely with Vincennes University. This spring, a record number of seniors will be able to earn their associate degrees at the same time as their high school diplomas. The campus recently opened a new collaborative learning space that is meant to look and feel like a professional college setting for group research and capstone projects. The student body also recently finished a service project that involved the whole community and combined lessons on how to be a leader in the classroom with lessons on how to be involved in the community.
