Joliet Central High School is a public high school in Joliet, Illinois, that teaches students in grades 9 through 12. There are two high schools in the Joliet Township High School District 204. With about 3,000 students and a student-to-teacher ratio of about 19:1, the school is a good place to get a full secondary education. There are a lot of different kinds of students, and 89% of them are minorities. People from many different cultures live in Joliet, which is why this is the case. There are a lot of academic and extracurricular options at Joliet Central High School. These include Advanced Placement® classes and tests (with an AP participation rate of almost 24%), career and technical education, fine arts, sports, and student groups. The results for the school year 2025–2026 show that about 8% of students are good at math and 11% are good at reading and writing. As part of its program to get students ready for college, the school lets them take the SAT and ACT. Classes, academic resources, and extracurricular activities are all paid for with public money.

Joliet Central High School is very excited! The school is going through a big change with a $28 million construction project. The new Student Center and Galleria will have a bookstore, a cafeteria, and places for students to work together. The goal of this new building is to make life better for students and reach out to the community. The school's JROTC teams have also been recognized on a national level. The leadership team made it to the U.S. Army JROTC Leadership Bowl Championship, and the academic team came in seventh at the JROTC Academic Bowl Championship.
