Excel Academy - Southwest HS honored 36 students for their perseverance and work ethic during the first quarter Honor Roll, including five students recognized on the Principal Honor Roll with 4.0 GPAs. The school took home the top prize at its third annual Excel Academy chess tournament, where student Luis Vilchiz took home the top prize and a custom chess board after rounds of strategic play. One Summer Chicago real estate courses, creating listings, flying drones to tour homes and making digital walk-throughs for properties were among the entrepreneurship lessons Excel Southwest students experienced.
