The Virtual Campus of Des Moines Public Schools is adding new dual-enrollment pathways that let students earn college credit from home through partnerships with local community colleges. This will make its specialized curriculum even better. The school recently started a better digital mentorship program that connects students with professionals in their field to give them real-time career advice and networking opportunities. The platform also has advanced interactive laboratory software built in, so students can do complicated science experiments in a completely virtual setting from anywhere.
