The building of a new multi-million dollar competition gymnasium and performing arts support spaces at Central High School is a big change for the school. The school is also adding a new Biomedical Science track to its Project Lead The Way curriculum. This will let students do medical simulations in the real world. The Central Blue Devil robotics team recently did well enough in regional qualifying rounds to make it to the state championship.
