Metro High School continues to lead in alternative education by expanding its work-based learning program, which now includes partnerships with local trades and businesses to offer paid internships and apprenticeships. The school just finished remodeling its student-run cafe and culinary lab, giving students a professional-grade space to learn how to manage and serve food. Metro has also opened a new wellness center on site that is trauma-informed. It has separate areas for mindfulness and specialized support to make sure that every student has what they need to succeed in school.
