The Alden Road Exceptional Student Center, Jacksonville are committed to serving students with exceptional learning needs through differentiated instruction and support. The center provides life skills, therapy services and inclusive education which helps students to gain confidence and become more independent.
Q1. Does Alden Road Exceptional Student Center provide therapy services?
Ans. Yes services such as speech, occupational and physical therapy are offered depending on the needs of the student.
Q2. Do you have a transport service for students?
Ans. Yes. Qualified students are generally provided with special transportation.
Q3. What extra curricular activities are available?
Ans. Activities are tailored to the abilities of the students and may include the arts, recreation and social programs.
Q4. What is the role of parents in the education process?
Ans. Parents are engaged in IEP meetings, progress reviews and continued communication with staff.
Q5. Does the school teach students independent living?
Ans. Life skills and transition planning are emphasized in programs to prepare youth for the future and independent living.
