About Whiddon Rodgers Education Center

The Whiddon Rodgers Education Center is a public alternative school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. It is one of 68 high schools in the Broward County Public Schools system and serves students in grades 9 through 12. The school is mostly for kids who need extra help with their schoolwork and want to learn in different ways. There aren't a lot of students, and the student-to-teacher ratio is usually lower than at regular schools. This means that each student can get more one-on-one attention and instruction that is right for them. The Whiddon Rodgers Education Center helps students stay on track to graduate by helping them get back on track with their credits, basic academics, and social and emotional needs. The school is ranked 534–654th in Florida, which means it is an alternative education program. Only 1% of students are good at math and 1% are good at reading/ELA for the 2025–2026 school year. This shows that the school needs a lot of help for its students. This school has a lot of different kinds of students. There are 96% of them who are minorities and 61% of them who are poor.
