About New Haven Academy

There are about 300 students in grades 9–12 at New Haven Academy, a public magnet high school in New Haven, Connecticut. It is one of the best schools in the New Haven School District because it is dedicated to social action and the "Facing History and Ourselves" curriculum. Latest News

New Haven Academy's "Social Action Projects" keep students involved in their communities. Recently, students gave local government leaders suggestions on how to improve community infrastructure. The school has started a new dual-enrollment program with Gateway Community College. This lets high school students earn college credits that they can use later. Along with these academic programs, there is a new seminar series that focuses on preparing for the SAT and making senior capstone portfolios.
