In February 2026, Whittier High School got its third six-year ASC-WASC accreditation in a row, which is the highest level of certification. This means that the school will be able to provide high-quality learning for students until 2032. Andres Favela is the school's new principal. The school keeps a strong campus culture alive through events like Freshmen First Day and the "Standing Strong Together" initiative. Facilities are still a top priority, and recent improvements include modernizing the historic Vic Lopez auditorium and upgrading the classroom infrastructure.
