About Pegasus High

Pegasus High School is a public alternative school in San Jose, California, for students in grades 9–12. It is one of 16 high schools in the East Side Union High School District and has about 150 students. The student-to-teacher ratio is about 15:1, which makes for a focused and supportive learning environment. The school is known for being a big part of personalized education. 99% of the students are minorities, and 61% of them are low-income. 32% of students at Pegasus High School can read well. The school is mostly about helping students get their credit back on track and making sure they are making progress in their own way. The school's educational philosophy puts a lot of stress on mentoring and giving students different ways to finish school. This helps them deal with problems on campus in a way that isn't normal. Even though the average home price in the area is over $1.1 million, the school is still a great place to build resilience and keep going with your studies. Overall, it looks like it's doing a good job of making sure that all of its students can get their high school diploma, and it is one of the best high school in California.
