Hiram W. Johnson High School recently made improvements to the Health Professions Academy's buildings. Students can now use new simulation labs and medical equipment to get hands-on clinical training. The school is now putting its "Warrior Academic Success" program into action. This program has a set time each day for small-group tutoring and help with college applications. The campus has also made changes to its sports stadium, adding a new high-performance track and field surface for the 2025–2026 sports season.
