The Ocean Sciences Bowl team from the Science Academy STEM Magnet recently had a big win: they came in the top three in the regional competition at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The campus is still adding to its specialized curriculum by offering Advanced Biotechnology electives. These classes let students do gene-editing simulations and forensic DNA analysis. The school's Robotics program has also added new 3D printing stations to the lab, which has helped students make custom-engineered parts for competitions.
