About Merced High

Merced High School is one of the best public high schools in the Merced Union High School District. It has about 1,800 students in grades 9 through 12. The school has about 23 students for every teacher, which makes for a structured learning environment. In February 2026, Merced High School won its 21st game at the 45th Annual Merced County Academic Decathlon. This made it the best school in the area and sent them to the state competition in Santa Clara. At the Future Business Leaders of America National Conference, Rishabh Saha came in third in Introduction to Financial Math, which was a big deal for students. Students in entrepreneurship classes are learning real-world business skills by running Paw Prints, a T-shirt printing business run by students on campus.
