Mission Academy is improving its personalized independent study model by adding new career-focused programs that help students balance their schoolwork with their real-world responsibilities. The academy just started a Newcomer Program to help students who are new to the country learn English in a structured way and get extra help with their schoolwork. The school is also strengthening ties with the community through its Parental Advisory Council, which makes sure that families have a say in the curriculum and workforce readiness programs for the next school year.
