In Grass Valley, California, William & Marian Ghidotti High School is a top public middle college high school for students in grades 9 through 12. It is one of the five high schools in the Nevada Joint Union High School District and is known as one of the best schools in the state. The school is located on a community college campus, which lets about 170 students take classes at both schools at the same time. The school is one of the best for academic excellence, with a student-to-teacher ratio of about 24:1. There are 25% minority students and 26% of students are from low-income families. The performance data is outstanding, with 100% of students being able to read and 82% being able to do math. William & Marian Ghidotti High School is one of the best schools for preparing for college. It is located in a neighborhood where the average home price is about $590,000. William & Marian Ghidotti High School is improving its unique way of teaching by working closely with Sierra College. Right now, students are earning college credits that can be used at other schools while also meeting their high school requirements. The school was recently named a California Distinguished School, which shows how committed it is to a strict curriculum and a culture of academic excellence. Students are also taking part in the 2026 Tech Test, which is a chance for them to show off their technical skills and problem-solving skills in a competitive regional setting.
