Gilroy High School is currently working on its Career Technical Education (CTE) pathways, which include programs that prepare students for the workforce by connecting them directly with local business leaders for training in their future careers. The campus is still a center for student leadership and civic engagement. For example, the Gilroy Chamber of Commerce recently gave out regional youth leadership awards to several students. The school district is also working on modernizing its facilities and upgrading its classrooms so that they all have the best teaching materials and the newest learning tools by the 2026 school year.
