Two famous graduates of Southwest High School were recently added to the Imperial Valley Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame. This event showed that the school's long history of success in sports still motivates students today. The school is getting ready for the 2025–2026 school year by hiring a new Head Football Coach and giving all students, both new and returning, full sports physicals. The Academic Decathlon team at the school did very well.
