Emerald High School has officially opened its second three-story academic tower. It has 39 new classrooms, including ones for engineering, culinary arts, and regional occupational programs. This most recent phase of campus development added a new broadcast technology classroom and a professional dance studio, giving students access to the best tools for exploring their creative and technical sides. In the meantime, work has begun on the Catherine C. Kuo Performing Arts Center, which will be the best place on campus for future theater and music performances.
