Jemison High School is currently expanding its College and Career Readiness programs by partnering with local businesses to offer students direct internship opportunities. The JROTC program recently won big in regional competitions, showing off the Jaguar battalion's leadership and discipline. The school's basketball program is also doing well, with several players being named to the all-area team for their performance this season.
Q1. What kinds of specialized schools are at Jemison High School?
Ans. Students in school can sign up for the College Academy, which lets them earn college credits by working with nearby colleges.
Q2. Do schools offer help with getting ready for the ACT?
Ans. To make sure that students are ready to apply to college, the faculty includes ACT prep in the curriculum.
Q3. What kinds of technical skills can students learn in school?
Ans. School students can get hands-on vocational training through programs in advanced manufacturing and automotive technology.
Q4. Is there a strong sports culture at the school?
Ans. School kids play a lot of competitive sports, which helps them work together and stay healthy.
Q5. Do school kids have ways to be creative?
Ans. The school's creative writing and digital media programs help students share their artistic ideas.
