Thunder Blessed Barbershop is a new after-school program at Bettye Davis East Anchorage High School. It's run by students and gives them hands-on experience in barbering and running a business. The school is also doing well with its specialized woodworking program, where students are learning advanced technical and craftsmanship skills by working on real projects. The Thunderbirds' athletic program is also doing well this season. In early 2026, the boys' varsity basketball team won four games in a row.

Ans. The SAT and ACT are often held at Bettye Davis East Anchorage High School, which makes it easy for students to take the tests in a hall they are used to.
Q2. What special programs are there for school kids who are interested in world events?
Ans. The school has a tough School-Within-A-School (SWS) program that pushes students to look at the humanities and social justice in a deep way.
Q3. Do school students at the school learn about cooking?
Ans. The ProStart curriculum teaches school students how to cook and run a restaurant in a professional-grade kitchen.
Q4. What does the school do to help the performing arts?
Ans. Students can take part in award-winning choir, band, and drama productions all year long in the school's large auditorium and different groups.
Q5. What sports can students at school do?
Ans. The school has a lot of championship-winning sports teams, which helps students feel like they are part of a strong community and proud of their school.
