The FFA chapter at Paris Cooperative High School recently marked National FFA Week with a series of community-centered events and fundraisers to showcase student leadership and agricultural education. Students participated in themed days such as an Ag Olympic night sponsored by FFA alumni and a “drive your tractor to school” day. The chapter has grown to 116 members, said advisor Kiarra Englum. “The program prepares future leaders for a variety of careers in business, science and mechanics,” she said. The chapter also continues to build local partnerships through sponsorships and job shadowing opportunities which provide members real-world learning experiences in the Paris community.
