Winooski, Vermont, is a small but lively city with about 7,500 people. It is located along the Winooski River, just outside of Burlington. The city is a great place for families because its neighborhoods are easy to walk around, there are many different cultures, and the community is close-knit. Elementary education is primarily served by the Winooski School District, with Winooski Elementary School as its main public option, complemented by nearby private schools in the greater Chittenden County area. The school system puts a lot of emphasis on language development, academic growth, inclusion, and multicultural education, which is in line with the city diverse population. The elementary school has earned state-level recognition for innovation and student support. Winooski is a wonderful place for elementary school because families are involved, classes are small, and the community is important.
