Barre, Vermont, is a historic city in central Vermont with about 8,500 people. It is known for its granite industry history and close-knit community culture. Most of the elementary schools in the area are run by the Barre Unified Union School District. Barre City Elementary and Middle School and nearby district elementary programs are known for having dedicated staff and making steady progress in school.
