Greenbrier Middle School students recently participated in a district-wide podcast to discuss discipline and time management in academics. The school successfully launched the Stopfinder app to provide families with real-time transportation schedules for the 2025–2026 year. Faculty members held a community orientation event to welcome new families and share upcoming policy updates.
Q1. How can families at Greenbrier Middle School look into K-12 online learning options?
Ans. Families go to open house events at Chesapeake Virtual Academy to meet teachers and learn about the online courses that are available.
Q2. When can students apply to specialized academies at Greenbrier?
Ans. Most of the time, applications for specialized programs and academies are open from mid-October to early November.
Q3. Does Greenbrier Middle School take part in the spring art show in the area?
Ans. Yes, every year during the secondary spring art show, student artwork is on display at the Chesapeake Central Library.
Q4. Do student physicals last for the whole school year of 2025–2026?
Ans. For all sports, athletic physicals done after April 1 are still good until the end of the next June.
Q5. When does the school year officially start in 2026–2027?
Ans. The first day of school for students is Tuesday, September 8, 2026, after Labor Day.
