Being Updated
The Alpine School District, which is in charge of River Rock, has put out a new resource for parents called "Navigating Technology: Partnering with Parents." It helps families better support their kids' digital learning.
The Utah State Board of Education praised the district for its work with multilingual students. This shows that the district supports all kinds of students, including those at River Rock.
Q1. Are there any programs at River Rock Elementary for students who are gifted or advanced?
Ans. Yes. The Alpine School District's A.L.L. (Advanced Learning Lab) resources and in-class extensions give students more chances to learn and grow.
Q2. Can parents help out in the classroom?
Ans. Yes. After meeting the district's requirements, which may include a short safety training and approval from the school office, parents can volunteer.
Q3: Does the school help students who are having trouble with math or reading?
Ans. To help students get better, River Rock Elementary has intervention classes, small-group instruction, and specialists in literacy and math.
Q4. Do parents have to follow a certain way to pick up their kids after school?
Ans. Yes. There is a structured pickup lane at the school, and parents are asked to follow staff directions to keep everyone safe and traffic moving smoothly.
Q5. Is there a school counselor at River Rock Elementary?
Ans. Yes. A full-time counselor is there to help with social-emotional learning, resolving conflicts, and making sure students are healthy.
