Being Updated
The 95th anniversary of Pine Street Elementary School in Spartanburg was in March 2025. To celebrate the event, students and staff planned a community service project to collect 95 boxes of cereal for a food bank in the area. Each class pitched in, showing how much they care about helping others and giving back to the community. During the celebration, there was a short ceremony where school leaders talked about Pine Street Elementary's history and what it has meant to the neighborhood over the past 100 years. Students talked about what they had done to help and did activities that showed how important working together and helping others are. Teachers said that the school is still getting better academically and also teaching values like kindness and responsibility. The anniversary was a reminder of how long the school has been in Spartanburg and how it is still a part of the community. It showed how proud they were of their traditions and how important it was to teach kids how to get involved in their communities.
