The School District of Lancaster educates about 10,075 students across 13 elementary schools in 2024–25, boasting high diversity: 88% students of color representing 51 native languages, with 85% qualifying for free/reduced lunch and 2,159 English Learners. Early results show strong growth: Wickersham and McCaskey elementary schools ranked among Pennsylvania’s top 10% for ELA gains in 2024, while Carter & MacRae and Washington schools led in math growth.
