Being Updated
November 2025: The Most Recent News Grissom Elementary School and Tulsa Public Schools recently reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to making the school a safe and welcoming place for all students to learn. This was especially important after community concerns about recent immigration enforcement activity. The district said that Grissom, like all of its schools, does not collect or share information about the immigration status of students or their families. Protocols are made to keep students' privacy, dignity, and safety safe when they talk to police officers. The announcement made it clear that the Tulsa Public Schools campus police department is only there to help and protect, not to enforce immigration laws. In other news from the school, Grissom has kept its community close with events like the virtual Community Connections meeting coming up in November. The board also approved the district's new school years' academic calendars for 2025–26 and 2026–27.
