Being Updated
Boevers Elementary School Tulsa has some most recent news. Recently in September 2025, Boevers Elementary School had a special assembly to celebrate its 50th anniversary which itseld is a big proude moement. Former principals, teachers, staff, and family members of the school's namesake were all there. There were student performances, a slideshow of old photos, and touching speeches by current Principal Dr. Leedy Smith and Union Public Schools Superintendent Dr. John Federline, who talked about the school's long history. This year, Boevers also became one of ten Union Public Schools to work with the nonprofit Reading Partners, which is growing its literacy tutoring program throughout the district. During the school day, volunteers will work one-on-one with students to help them learn the basics of reading. These changes show that the community has a strong sense of its history and a continued commitment to improving student literacy. This is a good sign for the future of Boevers Elementary.
