Hopkins Elementary School is the best elementary school in the Gwinnett County Public Schools (GCPS), serving pre-K–5 and a dual Spanish program where KG kids receive 90% of lessons in Spanish and 10% in English.
The GCPS 50/50 Model says to spend half a day learning the new language through the GCPS Academic Knowledge and Skills (AKS) curriculum.
The school offers 15 clubs and activities for students during and after school hours. These include sports, arts and crafts, academics, and technology. Community events are the Fall Family Festival, Harvest Night at the HOP, Multicultural Night, and STEAM Night. The student-teacher ratio is 20:1. The math proficiency rate is 28% and 18% for reading.
The nearest high school is Berkmar High School, one of the best schools in the area. Notable alumni are Quavo, Takeoff, and Offset from the Grammy-nominated rap group Migos; Amber Nash, the voice actor best known for Archer; and Wayne Arnold, a professional basketball player.

Ans: Yes, families who qualify may be able to get their fees waived. To find out if you qualify and how to apply, please contact the school counselor or the district's student services department.
Q2. What do I need to do to apply for the free or low-cost lunch program at Hopkins Elementary?
Ans: You can usually get applications for the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) from the Food Services Department of the Mentor Exempted Village School District. You can fill out an application online or ask the school office for a paper one.
Q3. How do I get to my child's progress reports and test results?

Q4. When do I get to talk to my child's teacher about how they're doing?
Ans: Parent-teacher meetings usually happen in the spring and fall. The school calendar and newsletters let people know when these meetings will happen.
Q5. What help is there for homeless students?
Ans: The McKinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Act helps the Mentor Exempted Village School District help students who are homeless. Transportation, free meals, and help with enrollment are some of the services that may be offered. It is advisable to contact the school counselor or the district's homeless liaison.
