Admiral King Elementary School in Lorain serves grades PreK–5 with about 500 students and 27 full-time teachers, resulting in a student-teacher ratio of approximately 18 to 1. Admiral King Elementary uses iReady and Dibels assessments to identify students needing intervention in reading. A reading interventionist works in classrooms to support students, incorporating practices based on the "Science of Reading".
