School 8-Roberto Clemente had a record enrollment year, welcoming many new families to its specialized PK-8 academic programs. The school’s “Cultural Heritage Parade” was a success, celebrating the diversity of the students’ backgrounds and building a sense of global unity. Teachers were also recognised for their innovative use of digital tools to offer personalised student support and feedback.
Q1. In what ways does the bilingual program at School 8-Roberto Clemente support students to be bilingual?
Ans. The young students are in dual-language classes that emphasize reading, writing and speaking in English and Spanish.
Q2. What special arts programs does School 8-Roberto Clemente have that let students work with local artists?
Ans. Our “Neighborhood Arts” program pairs students with local muralists to design and paint large-scale murals that celebrate our campus pride.
Q3. What kind of science labs do students have access to at School 8-Roberto Clemente campus?
Ans. In our modern science lab, students use kits to do weekly biology and physics experiments.
Q4. How does School 8-Roberto Clemente include new families in the school-wide cultural events?
Ans. We have “Cultural Connection” nights with bilingual staff and interpreters so that all families can participate and feel included fully.
Q5. Does School 8-Roberto Clemente have student leadership programs that are centered on civic responsibility?
Ans. The Clemente Council is a group for fourth and fifth graders that helps plan community service projects and school spirit events.
