Bronx Charter School For Excellence 5 is proud to be recognized for having maintained outstanding attendance rates and very high levels of parent participation during the academic term. Recently the school has introduced a “Cultural Unity Festival” where students showcase the diverse backgrounds of The Bronx through art and musical performance. Students are also enjoying a new 1:1 tech initiative that puts advanced digital tools into the hands of every classroom project.

Ans. All students are provided with high tech digital tools to use personal software in their daily development of mathematics and languages.
Q2. What is the theme of the “Cultural Unity Festival” on the campus?
Ans. The festival is an opportunity for students to display their own original art and music that represents the many cultures of the Bronx.
Q3. Is there tuition or special admission requirements for Bronx Charter School For Excellence 5?
Ans. No, it’s a free charter school open to the public that opens enrollment with a blind third-party lottery when students apply.
Q4. Are there any special academic support services provided for state assessment preparation?
Ans. The school also has a Saturday Academy, where students receive extra instruction and focused preparation to get ready for state exams.
Q5. How does the school incorporate character education into the daily schedule of the school?
Ans. School have a strong character education program that develops leadership and civic responsibility in each scholar.
