Horne Street School in Dover is starting a summer project to improve the school's facilities, which will include better lighting throughout the building. The goal of this renovation is to make the classrooms safer and more comfortable for students. Recently, the school held a 5K and fitness walk that was very popular. It brought families and students together and raised health awareness.

Ans. The school provides bus service for eligible students who live along certain routes. Families can also choose to drop off or pick up their children directly.
Q2. Does Horne Street School have programs for kids to stay after school or before school?
Ans. The school does work with local childcare providers to offer programs for working families before and after school.
How does the school help students who need special education?
Ans. Horne Street School makes individualized education plans, hires specialized staff, and offers targeted instructional services based on how well each student does on tests.
Q4. Can parents get involved or volunteer?
The school wants families to get involved by volunteering in the classroom, doing activities with the PTO, going to school events, and working with other groups in the community.
Q5. What kinds of non-academic or enrichment activities are there?
Students can take part in things like art, music, physical education, and sometimes clubs or seasonal events that staff or the PTO plan.
