WCPSS-Wake County Public School System-WCPSS is proposing to move some students from West Lake Elementary as part of a 2026 capacity-balancing enrollment plan.
The “School News” section of the school site highlights grant awards for teachers from the Apex Public School Foundation as well as resources for new student enrollment, internet safety, and EL- English Learner- communications.
Q1. Does the school have a library or media center?
Ans. Yes, West Lake has a library with digital resources and reading programs to help students improve their reading skills.
Q2. Are there foreign language classes at West Lake?
Ans. Some grade levels offer introductory foreign language classes and cultural activities. Not all do.
Q3. Does West Lake offer summer programs?
Ans. Yes, we have some summer programs for students that are funded by local grants. These focus on academics and enrichment.
Q4. Are there PE or sports classes?
Ans. West Lake students can join different PE classes, sports, and fitness activities depending on the time of year.
