Spann Elementary School in Jackson, Mississippi, is making progress with its programs that focus on the community! The school is part of the Jackson Public Schools' Community Schools program, which helps kids and families with everything they need. This effort has gotten local leaders national attention and increased support services.
The school is also getting ready for a better future with a plan for a $250 million state-funded project to rebuild and improve schools, making sure that classrooms aren't too full and that the designs are strong. Spann Elementary wants to raise $500,000 to build a new building on one of its campuses. This will help with overcrowding and make the school a better place to learn.
