The school is part of a bigger $250 million construction project that will improve school facilities, deal with overcrowding, and use designs that are more durable to make the learning environment better. This project will not only make schools better places to learn, but it will also boost the local economy.
Dr. Shevonne Loretta McDuffy-Oatis has been named the interim principal of McLeod Elementary School. She has years of experience and many great achievements that make her a good fit for the job. The school is also getting ready to welcome students back on January 5, 2026, with new energy and excitement.
