Being Updated
The Covington Independent School District's bicentennial celebration, which marked 200 years of public education in the area, recently included John G. Carlisle Elementary School. The district held a kickoff event where staff members gathered on Holmes Field to form a big "200" to mark the occasion. This was a fun way to start a year of planned recognition activities. The celebration shows how long the district has been helping families in the area and how committed it is to helping students grow.
Also, new rules for how the whole district will talk to each other were announced for the 2025–2026 school year. According to the new laws in Kentucky, all communication between staff and students must now take place through approved platforms that automatically save messages. This makes the environment safer and more open for students. In the future, they planned official email systems and parent portals run by the district will be used.
