The latest news of Deer Ridge Elementry school , The Tree Canopy Growth Fund and community volunteers recently led a big tree-planting project at Deer Ridge Elementary. More than 100 people of living near Indiana plannned to plantation more trees in school's grounds. This program is part of a larger effort to make more green area and improve outdoor learning spaces. Students helped dig holes, plant seedlings, and label each tree. This idea gives living labs for future science and ecology lessons and many more. According to school leaders, the project not only makes the campus a better place to be, but it also reinforces lessons about taking care of the environment and working together and keep freash air. Families said that the event made students feel more connected to their surroundings. It was a memorable "hands-on" day that improved the look and purpose of the school grounds.
