Being Updated
Families are very interested in a recent community update near Stringtown Elementary School. The district announced new safety and traffic improvements around the school. Parents have been complaining about traffic jams on Evansville's north side in the morning for the past few months, and these changes are the result. To make drop-off and pick-up times safer for students, crews have started putting in clearer crosswalk markings, better school-zone signs, and better curb areas. Staff members said that the changes have already helped cut down on backups during busy times.
The update also included plans for a small outdoor learning space that will be built later in the school year. Teachers think this area will help with science lessons, reading groups, and hands-on activities for younger grades. This project has received very good feedback from families who want more flexible learning spaces, even though construction is still in its early stages.
Overall, the changes show that Stringtown Elementary School is still working to make things safer and more interesting for students.
