The Iowa City Community School District is piloting a team-based teaching model at Lemme (among other elementaries), starting in grades 3–5 in 2025 to boost engagement and learning. The district is also introducing an AI curriculum, and librarians at Lemme are helping students learn how to use generative AI tools ethically and effectively
