Ke Ana La?ahana Public Charter School is still dedicated to helping people in the community learn. Students were able to tell the Hawaii County Planning Commission about their efforts to protect the coast not too long ago. The school's culinary program is also getting bigger by working with more business leaders in the area. These partnerships give students direct help and show them how professional kitchens work in Keaukaha. The academy also strengthens its cultural roots by having groups of visiting students learn how to make Hilo-style leis and hula.
