The Esther F. Garrison School of Visual and Performing Arts is unlike any other Elementary School in Georgia because we pair exceptional academics with a nationally recognized fine arts program. We serve grades Pre-K through 8 and our Garrison students achieved 50% proficiency in math and 62% proficiency in reading far exceeding district performance levels. In addition to the academic success, Garrison also has received awards such as Georgia School of Excellence and National PTA Excellence Award. Esther F. Garrison School for the Arts started getting ready for the 2025-2026 school year on August 4. They also just started a Music Tech Club. It had its first get-together with DJ Ash as a special guest, so things are off to a great start.
Q1: So, what is taught at Esther F. Garrison School?
A: They teach the regular Georgia school stuff that children must learn; however, art is the main focus. Children receive a good education and can also express themselves creatively.
Q2: Are there any before or after-school activities for students?
A: Yes! They have homework clubs and many activities to keep children engaged after school, from creative art activities to performance acts.
Q3: What is the school like? Is there enough room?
A: The facilities include art studios, performance venues, a library, a gym, and an outdoor play ground area. All of the facilities are safe, and they have put in place security measures that make the school a good learning environment.
Q4: How can parents help?
A: Parents can get involved in performances,shows, classroom and school-wide events. It is a good way to support students and get ideas of their capabilities.
Q5: Does Esther F. Garrison teach science, technology, engineering and mathematics?
A: Even as an arts school, they have STEM programs that teach children problem solving, technology and creative thinking skills across all subjects.
