Dr. Phillips Elementary kicked off the current school year welcoming families to its Flying Eagle community at 6909 Dr. Phillips Boulevard. The school has been actively participating in OCPS's Let's Read challenge, which runs district-wide through the spring semester and aims to build a love of reading through a collective goal of 50 million minutes read. The campus also joined OCPS's Black History Month "Still I Rise" celebration, which featured student performances and visual art across the district. Families can tour the campus by request — contact information is posted on the official school website.
Q1. Does Dr. Phillips Elementary have a GATE program?
Ans. Dr. Phillips Elementary does offer a Gifted and Talented program. If you think your child may qualify, the best starting point is a conversation with their classroom teacher, who can initiate the referral process within Orange County Public Schools.

Ans. Dr. Phillips Elementary participates in OCPS after-school extended learning options. Families should call the school directly at (407) 354-2600 to ask about current availability and any waitlist for the semester.

Ans. Dr. Phillips Elementary is home to the Flying Eagles. The school prides itself on being a collaborative environment where education is a shared effort between families and the community. Open communication with teachers and staff is something the school actively encourages throughout the year.
